I had a look on that site, but it is old, and I can not find much about the rules of Boulder Dash. It would be helpful to know more about how things in Boulder Dash are. I included the amoeba now, and I wonder if it turns to massive walls when it gets in touch with a big explosen (of a firefly for example)?
Hi Rocky There are a few sites where you find short descriptions of the elements (only basic features).
- Wikipedia - Boulder Dash;
- www.boulder-dash.nl (Homepage of this forum): see "Characters".
I have thought about that again and I am sure the cave is never resetted! To get a new like resetted looking cave the game must be started again, so what you say sounds strange for me.
In my view, it would be unfair if the cave was not resetted. Suppose that you made the cave unsolvable (e.g. by wasting a diamond, or blocking the way by boulders), then in effect it's "game over" immediately instead of losing one life.
Fortunately, all BD games and clones that I know have a cave reset when Rockford dies (or when you give up your try).
Ah, thank you! I will keep that in mind for my work! Edit: The board will now be resettet every time when you loose a life. The way it walks doesn´t look so strange anymore.
