Hi,

These levels are from Krissz's site which operates on an engine that has some slight differences with GDash, but otherwise remains feature-equivalent. The only difference is that it is impossible to have smooth transitions between borders of a level without tooling with the renderer and creating extra overhead, and breaking export compatibility. These levels are not bundled, but can be recreated as a cavemap, if one knows the settings.

BTW, I have updated the GDash level package for R'n'D to include Dustin's new cave set "Dustin's Boulder Dash 25"!

Some updates:

R'n'D was just updated to version 4.4.1.1 (now with Krissz Engine support), and the GDash cave collection for use with R'n'D was updated to version 1.0.8 (with some cosmetic changes only). (See the first post of this thread for updated download links.)

Forgot to mention that R'n'D was updated to 4.4.1.2 and then 4.4.1.3 since my last post (which fixes a few bugs in the BD engine).

There is an updated GDash level package for R'n'D available which contains both a number of new level sets and also many fixed level sets.

Here's what was added or what has changed:

New level sets:
  • new level group "Boulder Dash +" which contains 10 level sets
  • new level set "Caduta Massi"
Fixed level sets (corrected butterfly start directions):
  • Arno Weber / Future Dash
  • Atarakushi / Ataraxy Dash 001
  • CWS / CWS Boulder 2
  • CaptainPollutionTV / Boulderdash-UX 1 - 3
  • Dr Guru / Brain Delicacy
  • Marek Roth / Crazy Dream/Crazy Dream 8 + 9
  • Marek Roth / Tutorial
  • Schlonkel / The Lost Caves 02 - 10
  • Sendy / Crli Caves
  • Tatter Demalion / Demalion Dash 01 - 18
  • Tatter Demalion / Demalion Dash NoFX
Fixed level sets (corrected line shift mode):
  • Arno Weber / Arno Dash 21
All new level sets were converted by HerzAusGold as part of his TOSEC Boulder Dash cave conversion project, and most level set corrections are the result of thoroughly analyzing and debugging of the original C64 games by him, which showed up incorrect conversion of numerous cave sets from ".gds" file format to BDCFF. Thanks to his effort, the affected level sets mentioned above could be re-converted and corrected.
