Game compatibility tests

Post by subotai »

Hi folks,

we already talked about game compatibility here in the forum, but I can't find the topic that I'm talking about anymore. According to Marek's testcave that checks whether your game engine is accurate, I'd like to show you some more tests which you can apply to your remake.

I will not show you the result, because you can check it by yourself using the PLCK or the CRLI-Tools.

The caves have been created for the PLCK. So the starting direction of the butterfly is "down" and the starting direction of the firefly is "left".
If you want to use the CRLI-Tools to test the caves, the starting direction of the butterfly is "right".

In the following cave you will only find slime and no amoebas. The slime permeability is set to 3 (in PLCK, if you use the CrLi-Tools, set it to 56)

The following four caves have to be tested separately, not together! What you can see in the caves are amoebas.

Of course, there are more things you can test.
